We are award winning artisan ice cream and sorbet producers, creating everything in small fresh handcrafted batches in our parlour, ensuring we can devote our time and attention to producing the best tasting ice cream and sorbets around.

Our recipes are a closely guarded secret. It has taken over 40 years to perfect them and we are still learning, innovating and experimenting. We use the best quality ingredients to create our famous ice cream. Our sorbets are a great dairy free alternative and the flavours are more intense.

It’s very humbling that a visit to our ice cream parlour has become a part of people’s visit to Beddgelert and some of you travel miles to see us. So thank you for sharing our passion and supporting our family business.

    Caffi Glandwr Café

    Our lovely riverside café is tucked behind the ice cream parlour in Beddgelert. It’s a very informal affair, family friendly and great for groups.  

    We’re all about fresh and ethical food and we champion some fantastic local producers.

    PIZZAS: We’re famous for our pizzas which are made fresh to order with our own dough and pure mozzarella. Vegan cheese and homemade dough without gluten are also available.

    VEGETARIAN, VEGAN & GF: We’ve a wide selection of vegetarian options, the majority of which can be made vegan. Our cakes, bakes and savouries are all made on site, including a selection without dairy and gluten.

    SPECIALS: Don’t miss out on our Seasonal Specials Menu available from 5:00pm - 8:30pm on Saturdays and during the holidays.

    BRING YOUR OWN: We’re not licensed but you’re welcome to bring your own beer or wine to enjoy with our food. We don’t charge a corkage fee but donations to the local air ambulance are greatly appreciated.

    We’re proud to be known as the best place for pizza and ice cream in Snowdonia. 

    We’re a family run business. It all started in 1970 when Joan and Bert Rowley first bought the shop and café in Beddgelert. Derek (their youngest son) developed a passion for ice cream while selling soft serve from a kiosk in the café window. Derek later converted the gift shop into a fully fledged ice cream parlour. Derek’s wife, Elaine, is a Chef and runs the café. Together, along with many family members and friends; they have dedicated their lives to making the business a success and have established a reputation for being the best place for pizza and ice cream in Snowdonia.
